Three Ingredient Chocolate
The chocolate base is just cacao beans, cocoa butter, sugar. That's it! We are excited to celebrate the beauty of each bean's natural flavors.
Inclusions are layered on top as described above.
Ethically Sourced
The more we learn about big chocolate, the less we like it.
To celebrate the High Holidays, please join us in consuming products sourced with ethics in mind.
We are proud to be sourcing our Ecuador beans from a family farm in Ecuador via another chocolate maker who imports the beans directly!
Our Ivory Coast beans come directly from a grower co-op (their first US export!). Other beans were sourced via Uncommon Cacao which provides a transparency into the sourcing & pricing of cacao. Many beans are certified Fairtrade, as is the sugar we're using.
In addition to supporting fair labor practices, we've also sourced organic where available and most beans and all cocoa butter & sugar are certified organic.
At our production facility, we have sought to reduce plastic and single-use items whenever possible. All 4Questions packaging is intended to be recycled. We try to use secondhand shipping boxes & protection whenever possible.
Certified Kosher
Good news! We are working to bring all of our offerings under KVH (Vaad of Boston)! Documentation is available here.
4Questions Single-Origin Chocolate: The entire line was already certified pareve by KVH (Vaad of Boston). Certain product runs were available KVH-Kosher for Passover & we are aiming to do this again in the spring.
Chocolate Bark: As of August 2025, all bark is also certified by KVH, documentation forthcoming. While previously produced with kosher pareve ingredients, some stockists may be depleting inventory that is not certified, so please check the packaging for the KVH logo.
Other products: We are aiming to get the rest of our products certified soon. Reach out with any questions!
Vegan
All of our products are vegan!
Allergy sensitive
This product is free of all of the 9 major allergens including peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, sesame, egg, milk, fish, and shellfish. If you have allergy questions, please contact us.
Who designed your packaging?!
Logo, wrapper design, and various other odds & ends by our wonderful, talented graphic designer, soferet (scribe) and artist friend Rachel Jackson. Check out her work: https://www.binahdesign.com/
